The industrial design or model is the subject of a publication in a period of six months from the date of its registration, in the manner prescribed by regulation.

The applicant can request when submitting the adjournment of this publication for a maximum period of eighteen months.

The postponement of publication must cover all industrial designs and models covered by the filing. The publication comes at the end of the postponement period.

During the period mentioned above, the applicant can, at any time, request immediate publication.

Until the expiry of the period mentioned above, the OMPIC holds confidential drop folder accompanied by a request for a postponement.

OMPIC publishes an official catalogue of all industrial designs or models registered. Included is mention of the acts mentioned above.
